Message the Hub

The hub has one inbox: inbox@pescadoresdegalapagos.org. All four writers read it, and whoever covers the subject of your message picks it up. There is no phone line and no office to visit; email keeps things simple and lets us answer properly.

Emails that help most

  • A step that no longer matches the screen. Apps and phones change their menus. Tell us the article, your device and what you now see, and we will update the page.
  • Something that seems wrong. Quote the sentence and explain why. The process that follows is described on Corrections at the Hub.
  • A guide that lost you halfway. If you read it twice and still got stuck, the explanation needs work, not you.
  • A topic you wish we covered. Many articles, such as the solar lights troubleshooting guide, began as a one-line question.
  • A request to quote or reprint. Short quotes with credit are fine; for more, ask first.

What we cannot do by email

We are writers, not a support desk, so we cannot log into your device, repair hardware, recommend a specific insurance policy, review a contract or tell you which property or business decision to make. For those, a qualified professional or the company that supplied the product is the right contact. Our reader questions page may already answer common ones.

Please leave these out

Never send passwords, one-time codes, card numbers, policy numbers or medical details. No article requires them, and we will never ask. If anyone claiming to represent the hub requests such details, it is not us.

Making a reply easier

  1. Put the article title or its address in the subject line.
  2. Name your device, app version or country if the question depends on it.
  3. Keep screenshots free of personal information.

What happens next

Replies usually come within a few working days, sometimes faster for simple fixes, and a little slower when a question needs fresh reading before anyone can answer it well. Not every topic suggestion becomes an article, but each one is read and noted. How your email is handled and how long it is kept are explained on Privacy on the Hub.

This opens your email app with the message ready to send to inbox@pescadoresdegalapagos.org. Nothing is stored on this site.

What makes a message quick to answer

A few details save a round of back-and-forth.

  • The title or address of the guide you mean.
  • Your device model, app version or country, if it matters.
  • The exact sentence or step that caused trouble.
  • Screenshots cropped so no account details show.
  • No passwords, codes, card or policy numbers, ever.
